Voyager NCC-74656, commanded by Captain Kathryn Janeway. Janeway is a tough captain, not afraid to take chances, and is highly intelligent, thoughtful, dedicated, and diplomatic. Voyager was one of the earliest Intrepid-class starships constructed and featured a number of technological innovations that had become available in the 2370s including bio-neural circuitry, variable geometry warp nacelles, and an Emergency Medical Holographic program. Each coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. The Captain Kathryn Janeway coins reverse portrays a colour image of Kate Mulgrew as Captain Janeway as she appeared in Star Trek: Voyager, against a representation of the U.Voyager NCC-74656 and the inscription CAPTAIN KATHRYN JANEWAY. The design also includes The Perth Mints traditional P mintmark, and the coins weight and fineness. Voyager NCC-74656 coins reverse portrays a colour image of the U. S Voyager NCC-74656 flying away from a Borg cube in space, as it appeared in the television series Star Trek: Voyager. The design includes the inscription STAR TREK: VOYAGER U.
VOYAGER NCC-74656, The Perth Mints traditional P mintmark, and the coins weight and fineness. Both coins are issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu and feature the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date, on their obverses. The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,500 of the 2015 Star Trek: Voyager Captain Kathryn Janeway & U. S Voyager NCC-74656 1oz Silver Proof Two-Coin Set. The two-coin set is housed in a replica of a Star Trek transporter machine which lights up when the lid is opened, inside a custom designed display box within a Star Trek themed shipper.
