Massachusetts's entry in the collection (Lowell National Historical Park) features one of the famous mill girls, who advocated for abolition and workers' rights. The coin for Texas (San Antonio Missions National Historical Park) bears a design that pays homage to the missions that served as the city's foundation while also giving a nod to the Colonial Spanish Real. Finally, the coin for Idaho (Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness) shows a man in a boat enjoying America's great outdoors.

Both faces of the other three coins bear their traditional designs. The Walking Liberty design of Adolph Weinman serves as the obverse of the Silver Eagle.
