These rounds bear no face value and are struck from. The set contains 1.9 oz. Of silver in the following sizes: 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz. The obverse of the round features two images. The central image featured is the Angel of Independence, which is a winged Victory statue atop an ornate column.
The image that dominates the background is that of the two volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl from the Pre-Columbian legend. The reverse of the round features the current Mexican Coat of Arms in the center. The image is of a Golden Eagle perched on a cactus while eating a snake. Previously used, historical coats of arms surround the central image. Proof coins are struck using polished dies and blanks.
